Read this,you will know where should go in Chengdu.

At the end of November,Chengdu's ginkgo will change their leaves color to golden.

 A lot of people will go to some streets where covered with golden ginkgo leaves.

1.People’s Park

 Chengdu's leisure center. Many elderly people with a grandson to the park to play (because the child's parents are busy working) You can see a lot of open-air teahouses. Chengdu residents lying on the bamboo chair chatting, drinking tea, playing mahjong.

 You can see a white-haired old lady, right hand playing mahjong, left hand holding a cigarette. And there are many different kinds of party every week, Singing competitions, fashion shows, rumba dance.


The parents organize blind date for their children every week. You will see the wonderful life of the elderly in Chengdu. They are really busy every day.

From Traffic Inn to People’s park: 

1.Bus      8mins walking to bus stop,take NO. 62 to Renmin stop,only 3 stops,2RMB/person

2.Walk    30mins walking,you will pass the main street Renmin Nanlu,Tianfu Square and Mao Statue

 3.Taxi     10mins,around 10RMB.In rush-hour,it’s really too hard to get the taxi.

 

 2.Wuhou Temple

 If you know the history of China's Three Kingdoms. Temple to commemorate Zhuge Liang. He is Shu's military advisor.


 

He is very smart. He helped King Liu Bei conquered a lot of small countries.

Feather fan was handed down from him.

2.Walk      30mins walking,you will walk along the mother river(Funan river)

3.Jinli Street

The street is a collection of Chengdu snacks (but more expensive than other places). You can buy a lot of ethnic arts and crafts, such as shadow puppets, wood carving, blown sugar, flour, sculpture, feather fan, straw shoes, Shu embroidery




In the evening more beautiful. There are red lanterns against the background of the narrow alley


There are English-speaking "comfortable" Ear-clearing Service inside. Maybe you can try.

4.Tibetan Quarter

You will think you're in Tibet.


 

Many Tibetan jewelry store,and the owner is Tibetan.

Tibetan Thangka, prayer flags, Buddha statues,Tibetan music.

5.Big and Small Alley

This is an antique buildings.But only a few buildings is real antique,most of them is rebuild.

A lot of bars, restaurants,shops.





If you go to the people’s park,only 10mins walking distance to here.You can have some coffee ,have a rest.There is a starbucks.

6.Jinsha Site Museum

You don’t need go to Guanghan for Sanxingdui.





Sanxindui’s many valuable relics have been transported to Jinsha Museum.

 

 

The most striking finds were dozens of large bronze masks and heads (at least six with gold foil masks originally attached) represented with angular human features, exaggerated almond-shaped eyes, some with protruding pupils, and large upper ears.

If you really like Sanxingdui culture,the most and the oldest culture,you'd better go to Guanghan

7.Wenshu Temple

This Tang-dynasty monastery is dedicated to Wenshu,the Bodhisattva of Wisdom.





The air is redolent with incense,there’s a low murmur of chanting,and despite frequent crowds of worshippers,there’s still a sense of serenity and solitude.

2.Metro  12mins walking to metro stop,take metro line 1 to Wenshu Monastery,4 stops,2RMB/person

8.Green Ram Palace

This is Chengdu’s oldest and most extensive Taoist temple.



 

According to legend,stroking the bronze goat here can vanquish life’s troubles.



 

Entrance Fee: 10RMB/person

2.Walk    too far,around 70mins

9.Tianfu Square(Mao Statue)

Tianfu Square is the center of Chengdu. Of course, Tianfu square is not so big as Beijing Tiananmen Square.Tianfu Square in the distance is a Tai Chi.





Tianfu is another name of Sichuan province.

A fountain on the square every afternoon. You will see many children play with the water.




Chairman Mao statue in the center of Tianfu Square.He raised his right hand.I think he is saying: Hello

10.Dufu’s Cottage

The revered Tang-dynasty poet,Du Fu.



 

He wrote more than 200 poems whilst here.
